In November Hong Kong hosted the X International Competition «The Best French Wine, Beer and Spirits in Asia». Roullet Cadet XO won a gold medal in a blind tasting. It was an important award for a cognac (available for sale in 2021), symbolizing the company's successful entry into the Asian market. Moreover, Roullet Amber Gold cognac won a silver medal in this competition.
«The Best French Wine, Beer and Spirits in Asia» competition is the only platform in Asia where Asian market professionals can get acquainted with all the potentially interesting products of the French alcohol market in two days. Sommeliers, wine merchants, importers, distributors and journalists gathered at the event. This year's panel, chaired by Nelson Chou, President of the Hong Kong and China Sommelier Association, tasted 267 wines, beers and spirits on the first day. The organizers emphasized the high quality of the samples submitted for the competition.
On the second day, the jury re-tasted the gold-winning products to find the best gastronomic combinations with typical Asian dishes. The aim of this approach is to identify beverages that perfectly match the local cuisine.
Regarding other well-known competitions, Roullet Cadet XO won the highest award Master in the XO category and was among Top 10 award-winning Cognacs 2021 according to Spirits Business (UK). Also, this cognac was awarded a gold medal at the IX Best French Spirits Competition in the United States, held in July 2021 in Miami.
