The palette of flavors of Roullet cognacs varies from delicate and sophisticated to powerful, intense. It has won the sympathy both lovers of cognac and industry professionals. The well-known specialized magazine SommelierS International has published the results of the recent tasting by Paolo Basso - winemaker, winner of the ‘ASI Best Sommelier of the World’ 2013. This is how the expert described the Roullet cognacs presented at the tasting.


Color: amber hue with orange tinges. Nose: delicate with spicy aromas, potpourri, orange zest, cinnamon. Palate: very dry first taste while having a nice roundness. Warm and powerful, it displays a very rich body and reveals a characteristic hint of bitterness on the finish. Comment: it is a Cognac which combines classicism and modernity and is warm and seductive. 89/100 


Color: intense, dark amber hue. Nose: beautiful, intense and classic nose, with aromas of spices, cinnamon, cloves and honey. Palate: a lovely, smooth and silky palate that changes throughout the tasting, taking volume with a fleshy and distinguished style at the same time. The finish is very persistent with a very intense and elegant retro-olfaction. Comment: strength and finesse come together in this Cognac which stands out for its deep character. 92/100


Color: light amber hue with orange tinges. Nose: intense, great distinction with fine aromas of spices, nuts, chestnut honey and cinnamon. Palate: powerful, great volume, with a direct and tasty style. It has a very large structure and a beautiful depth of expression, while having an imposing and aristocratic character. Comment: it is a Cognac which stands out for its finesse and which will delight experienced amateurs. 93/100
